will the rear turn lenses of a pre facelift, fit on a 04 facelift?

Hi all,
I recently bought '05 clear tail lights from another forum member (Stateside) for my '02. The purchase included all 4 light fittings but I only replaced the outer brake and turn signal fittings cause the inners looked the same. I replaced amber bulbs with silver coated and is a much better look all round. Easy job as well. Very happy with the updated look.

Do I understand it correctly that the inner tail gate fittings on post '02, '03 are different (brighter) and if so I'll change them as well.

The updated tail lights look great. I am considering doing the same. That said did you have to make any changes to the harness etc or was it a plug and play process?

Plug n play. Make sure bulbs are installed correctly though.

Do you fellas know if the seal stays intact when you take off the lense?is the seal stuck to the panel off the car, have bad memories now of my 1978 audi when I changed the rear lense I had leaks into the back cos the seal was rubbish.....ok so will the OLD amber lenses physically fit onto a facelift 2004 x5 without harness changes etc
