Question about my AUX iPod
So, I installed AUX into hte glovebox and I have the ipod all hooked up using that Belkin car charger. Everything works great.
I only have one little question/gripe about it? Is there anyway to make the ipod automatically start playing when the car turns on. When I am driving I hang the wire out of the glovebox and put it in the ashtray area. However, I often put it back in the glovebox when parked for safety reasons. So, is this possible by some setting or whatnot? |
contact BMW parts, get the ipod direct plug in unit.

??
Could you be more specific?

My suggestion is to get the Dension IceLink Plus. This will do exactly what you are asking for and more. It will give you full steering wheel controls for changing songs, ID3 tags (artist and song title) on your radio display or in your dash display, etc. Contact Tom G. at EAS for ordering information.

roadster sav 0.75 iPod Interface Adapter Kit Please see more info for application information More Info List: $ 149.00 * Sale: $ 119.99 * I would go to CircleBMW.com, I have a connection at BMW and get better deals from their online store sometimes. This will give you direct intergration from the factory radio. |
Recommend you skip the IPod direct interface from BMW (shown above) and go with the Dension. The IceLink Plus from Dension has far more integration than the BMW interface. Lots of posts on this.

Thanks for the suggestions about Icelink, and while I definetley considered it, I went the AUX way. My question is thought, for any of you out there with AUX, is it possible to make the iPod turn on and play with the car, the same way it pauses when the car shuts off.

Ok, thanks anyway. This was really just a minor gripe as I love the iPod connection.
