The Replacement X5
 

Well after sometime now I finally have my new 2006 x5 4.4.
It has exacty all the same equipment as the 2005 that was totaled just before Christmas :-)
I will post pics soon, it's toooo dark outside now.

Cool! Question?Did you order it or was it one the dealer had on order? If you specified what you wanted, how long did it take to get in from when you ordered it?

Reason I asked is because they(BMW) sent me a letter telling me they could not guarantee my delivery date until 2 weeks left in their production of the vehicle. Oh, and not to make any travel arrangements until they contact me. (factory p/u) Well my spring travel schedule does not allow for a late delivery. I am trying to find out how well they maintain their schedule.

They also mentioned factory tours were suspended due to retooling. And THAT did not calm my fears at all.
