haha wow, thank you for the warm welcome everyone!! it's a pleasure to be a member at last!

i will soon post some new pix of my car as i just recently had the windows tinted and added exhaust. the car itself is a 2001 4.4i, and it was love at first site =)

having been a sports car guy my whole life -- first car was Integra Type R with my Dad around the end of high school / early college; then during my UCLA years I ended up getting a 2000 V6 Mustang and prepped it for track use (rear seat/trim delete, suspension upgrades, intake, exhaust, gears, pulley, etc) and have since done several open track events with www.nasaproracing.com and www.speedventures.net at Buttonwillow and Thunderhill. I made some music video-documentary DVDs of the events and i suppose if there's enough interest I can find a way to post them online.

meanwhile -- and this is about to be the most potent way I can demonstrate my love for my X5 :) -- my Dad just got himself a new toy, a 2002 Carrera 4S -- and having driven it most of spring break last week, I can say that while it is absolutely INTOXICATING, I was not at all "upset" to be returning to school in my X5. For my present needs of commuting, practicality, and sportiness, the X5 really is *THE* best of *ALL* worlds.

I know you can all relate :)
