Well, my gut level response is, yes, but why?
The 3.0 is a fairly strong engine. Bottom end problems aren't common.
Having said that, the 3.0 is not a low-compression engine well-suited to forced induction. It starts out with a fairly high compression ratio. It also has a computerized fuel map for the injection system. It isn't as if the biggest challenge is how to mount the turbo. Twin turbos? Are you thinking of compound (series) turbos for maximum boost, or smaller parallel turbos for reduced throttle lag (a la the new N54)? And after you get more power into the 3.0, you will still have to think about the smaller/lighter transmission of the 3.0, and so on.
Best way to get more power out of a 3.0 is to trade it up. Just my $0.02. But yes, the bottom end is fairly strong.
