Taking X5 to see the stealer!

My X5 is only 6 months old 6000miles and it is on it's way back to see the stealer for the day.
Basically the parking sensors are playing up and while its still under warranty they will/better fix the problem.

While it is at the stealer for the day and i hate having to part with the X5, i was wondering

1) is there anything else i should ask the stealer to check.
2) should there be anything they should check/update while the cars in?
3) is there anything i should check when the x5 is returned to me.. eg that all my 19's 132's are still attached! ha.. come on you cant trust these stealers! joking aside apart from the obvious.. what sort of level of service do we expect from our dealers?

My stealer changed the oil at 6000 miles when I happen to visit for something else. They do not usually do this.

I would have to say that it all depends on the professinalism level that the dealer has. I happen to be very pleased w/ mine. Not where I bought the X5, but have bought previous BMW's from them. If you don't have a level of trust w/ them, find another dealer that will better suit your needs. I prefer to drive extra to have no doubts on my mind that my car will be taken care off.
All that aside, whatever doubts/questions you have on your car make sure you tell them. Good luck w/ the visit and keep us posted.

I agree with NOC, it depends on what dealer you have.

Some are great (Stevens Creek BMW), others are worse (Sonnen or BMW of Mountain View).

It also depends what SA you get. Always try and go for the head-SA. He gets the job done.

That's very true. My dealer sucks, they have broken several parts of my car and know nothing about BMWs. So I now drive 300 miles to another dealer if I need services.
