Paddle shift fitting to X5 - HELP

I have just bought an M3 CSL paddle shift steering wheel off of ebay for my 2005 X5 3.0d.

Please can anyone advise me if I have to buy anything to get the paddle shift working - or, does everything just plug in.

Thanks.

I bought the steering wheel as well and ended up just putting it on w/out the paddle, to much work

get the screwdriver out, it works really well and is good fun.

you have to run wires from the shifter to capture the signal at the paddles if you want the paddles to be functional.

Thanks for the response. Anyone with detailed wiring info?

Thanks,

Dave
