razrv3 03-27-2006 01:11 PM

Don't know...car came with phone craddle underneath armrest, but the phone was missing....and a connection cable coming out, that's supposed to go into the phone.

drex 03-27-2006 01:14 PM

looks like (its been a while for me) a TCU for either bluetooth/VR or VR

its mounted in a weird place

i don't see a bluetooth antenna though.

just pop out the navi and take a look at it!

lph65724 03-27-2006 01:16 PM

It looks like an aftermarket product to me, and I wonder what it is, too.

razrv3 03-27-2006 01:17 PM

OK, will take out the NAV and take pics of the sticker....be right back

PersonaNonGrata 03-27-2006 01:38 PM

It's a GPS tracking device your significant other installed to keep tabs on you. :jk: It's a strange looking thing. I'm curious too.

That's your VR module. Hit the speak button on your wheel and hold it until you hear a beep. Then say instructions......Phil

razrv3 03-27-2006 02:15 PM

Oh damn, I'll go try that right now...

razrv3 03-27-2006 08:22 PM

Yes, it works, but I guess most use of it is if one has a phone connected. Am I right?
