Rank these tire brands....

*MODERATOR, move this thread as needed.*

In the market for some tires, and well, frankly, i dont buy tires too often. Trying to figure out the level of these tires are, so that i know i'm paying right. Can you rank in order from worst to best so that I can get an idea what's good?

(in no particular order)
Pirelli
Bridgestone
Kumho
Michellen
Toyo
Yokohama

I went from the OEM Michelin on my 01' 4.4 SP, to Pirelli's and am very pleased with their performance. Also, in a pinch they are M+S rated. I'm going to get them again . They should see 30K before I hit the wear bars.

I think all those major brands are "very good";
like any mfg'er these days, there is considerable
variety & quality level among the species of tires
in each brand.

And, are you looking for "grip" vs wear, "all around",
some snow drives, all summer stuff, etc. ?

Many here, inc. me, would rate the oem Micheys
as outstanding, except in serious snow/ice.

front 255/50 R19 103V
rear 285/45 R19 107V

well, those are the ones. i guess my #1 is price. weekend driver for the most part. would go to tahoe, but winter is coming to an end. summer, i don't tour alot. i live in SF, a 7mile by 7mile block. mostly street driving, occasionaly freeway, but rare. mainly an overall, i suppose.

i got some cheap quotes for toyos, kumho, pirei, yokos for 150 - 200 a piece....

Depends on what purpose you want. Winter? 20" wheels? summer? regular?

I have Yoko's on the X for 18 months and they have been great through both NE winters and the warmer summer months.
I'm on the second set of Toyos on my Exploroer and they are a great tire.
Either, for me, beats the OEM fitted Mitchellen.

I have been happy with the OEM Michelin's. Have 21k miles now, and probably will go another 5-7k before replacing.

I will be upgrading to 20's. Where are you guys getting your Toyos? I heard good things about them, but Tirerack where I normally get my tires don't carry them. TIA.
