The mods are around $3500 but I may be able to get he wheels for free so then it is just the cost of the bumpers.

Sounds like you certainly do have it worked out - sounds great; can't wait to see the pics!!!

Sounds like the 4.4 is the way to go.

Sound like the 4.4 is the way to go. Have fun with the Mods.

Are you planning to add a ICE system for the IPOD?

Just came back from a road trip to VT and would like to play more tunes.

No I didn't think of that one - is that an easy do it yourself mod or do I need my local stereo guy? I need to do the sirius as well

I understand that the Ice system for the IPOd is a easy mod if you keep the IPOD in the back. Since you have full controll you don't need to put in wiring to move it up front. The only problem is that you would need to place the IPOD in the back before you start you trip or buy a second IPOD.

I don't know about Sirius maybe on of the other members could help?

Good luck with the 4.4

My first choice was the 4.8 as well. But when I sat down and looked at the numbers, it just made more sense to go with the 4.4 at this stage of the model run. I went with a 24 month lease as well, and the same thing for the 4.8 was around $450 more per month.

I'm really enjoying my 4.4 at the moment. I think I made the right decision by going with the Toledo Blue and the Gray interior. This is my first BMW with the Gray interior. My M3 is Alpine White with the Black cloth/leather interior, and I just love it.

Your 4.4 should take about a month to reach your dealer. The waiting period is hard to get through.

Good luck.

Installation...

Are you doing the 4.8 fender installs yourself or dealer doing for you?

SNIFFLES 04-04-2006 11:06 AM

I was thinking of having done at my local shop in NYC but gave my dealer all the pricing info I got here to see if they can get me the parts so I can just put them in the truck and bring them home day one.

Parts...

Hey Sniffles. Once you have ordered the parts and have gotten then installed at the local shop can you send me what the total bill amounts to? I am right down here in DE and am trying to update my 3.0i to the 4.8 fenders as well (still trying to decide on wheels).
Let me know...THANKS!!!
