new tire question?
im just looking at the tire rack website for some new tires...the michelen energy mx4plus 17" for my 3.0...there are two different versions of these tires....one is rated 103h and the other is 104h...i currently have 104H's on my truck right now, but i really want to go with the 103H's since they are $75 cheaper per tire!!! is this really going to be a big or significant difference that will impact anything major on my truck....i would love to know because i would really like to hop on this special ASAP!!!
thanks guys |
This has come up before. Going with the 103H means you are going with a non factory, non OEM, tire with a lower weight resistance. This means that all the little 'load capacity' figures in the manual will be wrong for your X5. If possible, wait and save up the extra money to buy the right tires for the car IMO. But if cost dictates that there is no way you can afford the correct tires for the X, the 103H aren't going to be a problem unless you load the X5 to its recomended weight loads.
