2001 X5 3.0... report

Thought I would post a different kind of post... I love my 3.0 Sport.
Everything works. Drives like a dream, plenty of power. The Xenon lights are super, the widows go up and down. The Super washers do the headlights. Gas mileage is good for the way I drive her, and the brakes lasted far longer than expected.
Added the new rotors and pads from Axxis, process was inexpensive (work done at local independent shop) and effective, love the new feel and cleanliness.

in short no problems...

Just to balance out all those with problems...

AGREED!!! I have a 2001 3.0 as well and I couldn't be more pleased. It's wonderful to drive and I love getting in on cool mornings and turning on the heated seats (that's just one of my favs). I enjoy it more everyday.

I just bought a 2001 with only 80K Km's (50 K miles). Love it

I also have a 2001 X5 3.0 Sport. And while I have experienced some of the more common issues (control arms, window regulators, final stage resistor), this vehicle is just a blast to drive every time I get behind the wheel, and you just can't beat the smiles per miles that it delivers.

this is good to hear. last month i purchased a used X and i was a nervous nelly with the transaction.

right after i drove off from the BMW lot, i saw an older X in a CVS parking lot, with the hood up...

Gresch is correct, that is Lindsay Lohan (before she got skinny). My X5 is a 2001, Green, Premium package. I love so far.
