Truffle Brown interior??

I'm going to be placing my order tomorrow, and I'm still a bit undecided about interior color. I'm definately going to get a Jet Black exterior.

My initial choice was Black Leather with Anthracite Wood. But now I'm thinking maybe Truffle Brown. I read a few other threads that show pictures of the Truffle, but I noticed that everyone said it is actually darker than it looks in the pictures. The pictures make it look only slightly darker than beige. I tried to find a dealer that has one so I could look at it, but they are very rare I guess, so no luck.

Does anyone have any pictures of the truffle that make it look like how it really looks in person? Perhaps in better lighting than the other pics I have seen?

Also, what is the best color wood for the Truffle interior? All the pics I have seen had the Dark Poplar wood -- but that seems to be what 75% of the X5's have anyway. Would the Light Poplar go well with the Truffle?

Is there anyone in the NYC suburbs (I'm in rockland county) that has truffle that wouldn't mind meeting up for a few minutes so I could see it in person? It would really be appreciated. :)

I would go with the Truffle because it contrasts well with the black exterior. Just think of a darker beige.

I have truffle with Toledo blue.Contrast is awsome.I love it.I also have the dark poplar wood.Think the light looks funny with the truffle.

go with the truffle, if you get black, it will make the interior feel so much smaller than it is. the truffle will get dirty faster, but as long as you take care of it, it will be fine.

also, light poplar is the way to go with the truffle, i would never get the dark poplar, it brings a dark accent to a lighter color and doesnt, imho, look right, so to summarize, truffle with light poplar.

Maybe you guys can do me a favor.

Take a look at the pictures at this site:

http://www.vw.com/touareg/photos_int.html

That is a VW Touareg. I really like the look of the interior color on that one. Is the Truffle color similar to that? All the pictures that I have seen on this site make it look significantly lighter in color.

Also, I like the look of that lighter wood with that interior, so that is why I was thinking the Light Poplar might go well.

These are very good photos in terms of color accuracy for Truffle....although just a bit brighter than in real life. I also think that Truffle with Dark Poplar is a dynamite combination. I have it on my '05 (Sterling Grey) and love it.

I was also undecided when I was ordering, but my dealer was so convinced that this combo was perfect that they wrote on my order that I could walk away from it if I didn't like it (they knew they could sell it easily and had 2 buyers lined up behind me). Sure enough...I loved it and still think it is one of the best colors BMW offers.

Here is a picture from the BMW website. How close is this picture to the real color. It looks much darker than the photos posted above:

In the pictures above, it basically looks Tan & only slightly different that the Beige interior. I guess I was hoping it's more of a rich brown color rather than beige.

These pictures look very close to what it actually looks like. The pictures were taken on a sunny day.
