22'' inch wheels anyone?

Like the title, I am planning on putting a set of 22'' wheels on my X5
would anyone not recommand that? cuz I have no idea how far my X5 can go, but I am sure 22'' will look nice and I wont need to lower it wiz springs. But just making sure there are no issues, please lemme know!
Thanks

There are a few members here with 22" and although I havent heard of any major issues,I am sure someone will come along and give you the feedback you need!Personally ,I love the ACS wheels in 22".................................

I have 22" and have had no issues at all. Very happy with the ride quality. I did lower mine, there was just to much wheel gap. I would say that the springs aren't a must, but 1" drop makes a world of difference. Anything bigger then 22" I would not recommend. Braking will become an issue at that point nevermind how odd they would look.

I don't think any one (I could be wrong) has had 22's on long enough to show any effect to the vehicle, for example steering linkage and control arms with the added flex and weight of a 22" rim.

Silver 5, what size tires do you run and what is the 'road feel' like?

Dub-Dueces are for Escalades and Hummers IMO.

20's aren't bad, but if you want 22's then get 'em.
Which type/style of rims are you planning on getting????

I have 22's also. I'll list my "problems" later when I'm free. :)

I am not getting any fancy stuff, probably just blings.
Chrome ones cuz someone gave me a good deal for a set.
Its 22'' chrome wheels with Pirelli Scorpian tires forgot the size, but its freaken wide ! I will have them test fit next week, I'll post it again, and you guys can give me some more feedback then.

So it seems 22'' arent big enough either, problems are yet to be discover..
Does this mean 20'' with lowering springs is better way to do it?

the 4.8 on 22"s aint bad. If anything, the ride quality could be a "bit" better but then again the 4.8 stock wit 20's the ride isnt silky smooth.

But the car DOES loook amazing and at times on straight roads with no bumps, i like how the car is a bit stiff.

I've read that in a number of posts but fail to see the physics behind such a claim. As long as the overall rolling diameter is constant the braking should not be affected at all.
