DINAN and the 4.8
 

I have spoke with Dinan many many times about the supercharger. They are NOT making a supercharger system for the 4.8. The VANOS Valvetronic is way to complicated to do this. All the electronics and fuel meters are way too involved to accomplish this. I have been calling them since I picked up my 4.8 and I am pretty upset about it. They said they will be launching alot of products for the 4.8(air intake, exhaust, brain, etc) very soon. We will be looking at about 410 HP with all they will put out. Its a shame we can not Supercharge this beast.

Try checking with ESS to see if they may have something in the works.... :dunno:

I've said many times in the past, I wish Alpina would come to the states and pitch their tent. Here is proof positive that Alpina would lay a serious asswhooping on Dinan. Can't supercharge a valvetronic engine? :bustingup :tsk:

Dinan is bottom line oriented and if they can't make a certain profit on a particular venture, forget about them doing it. Just ask any 3.0 owner about the CAI fiasco.

Kelleners Sport makes a supercharger kit and other upgrades for the 4.8is.

wow, not a bad price. i dont know their quality of tuning though, ESS and Dinana are supposed to be top notch in those departments. They even make Supercharger Kit for the 3.0! The price for the superchargers are pretty reasonable compared with what Dinan would charge.
