X5 wireing harness, spilce in ? or non-oem? solution
 
i just added the hitch, but dont have the woring harness, should i spilce in or is there an aftermaerket adapter?? or do i have to go with the OEM $200 part?

Unless you have good knowledge of electronics and can build your own wiring harness with relays, if you tap into the existing wiring then be prepared to have a dash full of warning lights. The BMW electronics carefully monitor the current draw on the lights, so if you add additional lights then it will sense a problem and set off warning messages.

The only good way around this is to buy the BMW wiring harness module, IMHO.
