clicking noise??
i have the brembo big brake kit on my X, gran turismo 8 piston caliper setup jaguar style....can't tell if it has anything to do with a clicking noise i hear when i step on my brakes? anyone had this problem beofre, or knows what it could be? makes a violent vibration when i hit the brake pedal, which it never did before, and am sure its not my axle...because it happens when i am going straight also :dunno:

warped rotor is first place I would look for vibration under braking. Look at the rotor and see if you see a blue area or uneven wear on one of the rotors. Also check for something caught in the caliper. I had someone show up with a rock wedged between the caliper and the rotor.
Finally check the tie rods, a bad tie rod will cause a vibration under breaking. Ball joints, steering rack and other related systems can also cause the trouble. |
thanks bro, wasnt sure what to pin point...but...its def one of those...ill take anything but the rack x=

pheewwww....thanks alot cleaner....wasn't quite the pebble, but close. as i roll i heard a clicking noise in frequency, it turned out to be the vibration clamp on the rotor assembly; since one was popped out of the shaft, each time it rotated into the caliper it didn't clear and knocked into the caliper/ pads thus...the vibration...nothing 20 bucks couldn't pay off for the mechanic that looked at it for me.
