2006 Retractable Mirrors ???
 

I've been shopping for a new X5 and I wanted to ask the group a question.

Do the 2006 model year X5's have retractable mirrors?

While I was at the dealer I asked one of the sales guys and he gave me a brief "no, I don't think so" as he was rushing off to help someone else. I also checked edmunds.com and their web site lists power retractable mirrors as "not available". Did BMW remove retractable mirrors as an option for 2006? Can anyone confirm their availability? I know they were available in the 05's.

My 2006 has retractable mirrors.

my 2006 X5 has the passenger side rearview mirrors tilt down. The driver side mirror does not move at all.

I am currently in the process of buying a 2006 X5 4.8iS. I would just like to ask you...how's the performance of the car been so far considering were from similar 'hot' climate countries. Knowing that i ordered the car and it should arrive in Sept this year.

retractable only on 4.8 and premium package - would have loved them on my '06 4.4, but we in the USA are limited to certain packages and cannot pick'n'choose individual options

FYI, Premium pkg 3.0's do not have it.

2006 X5 3.0i has retractable mirror
 

My wife picked up a 2006 X5 3.0i w/ retractable mirrors. I'm looking through the BMW website and on our Window sticker and I cannot find which package it came on. We have Premium, Sport, Auto, Cold Weather, Auto-Dimming mirrors, Xenon, Nav & Rear Climate Controls. I looked at each option on the website and none lists retractable mirrors and yet ours has that. :confused:

our x5 06 3.0i also has retractable mirrors...I think it comes with either the premium pakcage or with the auto dimming mirrors
