Those look great! The covers are an excellent idea too. As an added security measure, do you think that it would be easy to reinstall the original headrests if one is going to park the X5 at an airport, for example, for an extended time?

I'm curious about the cost for the whole shebangabang.

Wow! This is really one of the nicest setups I have seen. I am curious as to the costs for the system and how long it took you for the complete install. Where did you tap for power and where did you mount the FM transmitter. I love the cover for it as this has always been my grip about head rest systems when living in a metropolis. Thanks for sharing and your install looks great! ;)

It's a very interesting add-on

I'm curious about how they get the power.

And about the price, I think it's really expensive: $1600.

if your not going to send the sound through the car sound system and just want to use the wireless headphones, I guess you dont need to wire up the FM transmitter.I was just thinking that while the children are in the back watching whatever film, you cant see the screen anyway and then can continue to listen to the usual stereo or even chat to the wife !!!!!!!.

We install these here at the dealership and they work and look great. We have done quite a few of them and have had no problems at all.

With the covers on; its really hard for prying eyes to see this system. The covers are a tight fit but not to tight to where it could scratch the screen. It would be easy to take out but I hide my wires under the carpet and thats where the connects are.

The FM Transmitter is just a wire that you mount to a metal source. I like the fact that you can listen to it through the radio. But I get a headache in the front seat because I'm trying to visualize the picture.

Yeah this system makes me want to sit in the backseat; instead of driving the X.

I didn't really want to cut into my own headrests. Just in case I trade my car in; I could take the system with me.
