I need help!!
 

Ok so i was parking the x5 today and i was pulling along side a pole (underground parking garage) and so I folded in the mirrors before i passed it but as I drove by it they phantom popped out again (many of you know what i'm talking about), and so my side mirror is all scratched up and I need input, I need to know if I can try to get the dealer or BMW to cover the fix? any input?

I do know what you mean by the "phantom" popping out of the mirror, but I doubt the dealership will believe you. Good luck, though. Keep us posted.

Do you have comp insurance? Maybe a case of someone hit it in the parking lot.;)

What is it with you guys and solid objects?...wasn't there a Pacifica that got whacked recently? IMO, don't try to rip off the insurance company...it 'twas driver error...and you may need reserve kharma if the Nortenos ever decide they want your Rover.

I pull my mirrors in at the bank drive-through and they've never phantomed on me...your deductible is likely about the cost of a touch up spray job, or you could just mod the mirrors with covers. It sucks getting a ding. G/L
