X5 4.8 Trans DME
 

Picked up my 4.8 today after the trans flash. Now I seem to have better power in standard mode. The factory said the "Cluck" sound was normal and not an issue?:rolleyes:

What year is your X and what problems were you having to begin with??? Sorry if I missed it somewhere!!!!

2004! In Normal drive it seemed to shift too fast and I had no power. In Sport driving through my neighborhood it would stay in first way to long. Prior to purchasing I test drove numerous 4.8's and and they all seemed to have a different transmission compared to mine. When I took it to the dealer I mentioned that I could here a clunk in the trans on occasion, I did this just to make sure they checked it out. Well they did the computer check ad everything was ok but when they took it for a test drive they did hear a clunk which I thought was interesting since I made it up! Well this forced them to contact BMW and they were notified of an issue which required a Trans reprogram. Now everything is perfect. Sorry for being so long!
