Very common problem. You can replace them, or you can finish pealing the covering off to give them a nice smooth look.

How Can You Replace Them? One Of The Rear Ones Is Getting Loose Im Scared Some 1 Is Gonna Pull It And Break It

when i had mine replaced, it sounded like they took the whole door apart, i had to drop it off for a whole day to get both front ones replaced. so it might be a pretty big task

For what its worth, if you and your passengers are careful not to dig your finger nails, rings, etc. into the handles they won't peel. I had to have two of mine replaced several years ago under warranty and have been careful ever since and do not have any peeling to this day. You shouldn't have to be overly careful, but its kind of like handling an egg, you know it will break if your not careful, so your careful.

You have to remove the door panel. See the DIY on the home page that pertains to the window regulator replacement for info on the door panel removal.

Not true. On my 2004 X5 the handles never peeled (Truffle Brown interior). On my new 2006 X5 (Grey Interior) the drivers side has begun to bubble in five weeks. I also had a 2001 X5 that had two sets replaced due to peeling. In 2004 I figured BMW had fixed the problem.
