Aftermmarket navi to X5 ?
Hello guys,
Anyone who have installed navi to a X5 3,0 TD who hasn`t navi from the factory? I planning to buy an original aftermarket kit, but where could I buy it and is it difficult to add ?`And do anyone now the price ? :) :) |
I'd advise against it, I'm still looking to get rid of a AVIC-D1 by Pioneer. There is no way you can physically make it look like stock. It looks ugly, and out of place. Now i'm wishing I did an OEM retrofit.
The installation was around 200, they did it in a couple of hours, If you are interested in going that route. |

No it doesn't but If I trimed the inside of the cover it would shut. I just haven't gotten around to doing it. |
They took the wood trim right off mine, I'll post a pic of mine as soon as I find the usb cable for my digi cam.
Besides mybimmer.net, does anyone else have bezels for a double din aftermarket navi? Like to some it might not look bad, but after I seen one with an OEM system in it, I really want to fix it or fit in a retro.. |
I could always build mine up so the head unit is flush with the dash. But I think the option that come with my Aftermarket HU far out weighs the look of a factory unit, just my 2 cents

Hrrm, Ive tried that, it seems the harness only lets it go mabye half an inch more, I may be wrong.
|
I could pull my headunit all the way out and rest it on the shift knob without disconnecting a wire. Not sure why your harness is so short?
