:dunno: I haven't reached that point yet. My odometer reads about the same as yours (km equiv.) and there's plenty of pad left. It's highly dependent on your driving style and conditions.

Mine triggered the low brake indicator on the dash at approx 36,000 miles. I think this was partly because the rotors were also slightly warped, and below minimum thickness.
I replaced the pads with EBC Green Stuff SUV supreme pads and EBC rotors which so far have been good although they are not fully bedded in yet for comparison.

I got rid of the OEM pads at 11K for about $100 I bought Axxis Delux pads. The hours of not cleaning the wheels alone is worth it! This is the second X I did this to. The best and cheepest mod you can do:thumbup:

The other side of the coin is what I have stated before, brake systems are tested with specific compounds combinations and changing these may not be noticeable to the average driver, but your ABS and traction control depend on very specific characteristics from the brake system. Using anything other than TUV approved pads has the potential to change the dynamics of your ABS and Traction control. Mintex has ECE Regulation 90 approval, that is within 5% of TUV spec.

Axxis pads have no approval they get glowing praise from customers so that should be considered, however without being compliant with TUV or R90 they do not earn a place on my vehicles.

I say go Mintex !
