HELP : NAV screen lost power
I need your help folks. My NAV screen totally lost power and does not light up. I used my X this past Saturday with no problems at all. On Sunday I started up the X and noticed the NAV screen would not power on. Any ideas what could have happened?? Could it be the fuse? Also, where is the fuse for the NAV and Radio?
I'm going to be in Toronto this Friday and need the NAV. I'm going to call the dealer this morning to have this checked out. I'm hoping someone would have experienced this problem and knows what the fix is. TIA |
Haven't experienced this problem personally, but your fuses are in the compartment in the rear opposite your Nav drive. Check your manual.

I'm taking it in to the dealer
Thanks JV. I should have worded my question better. I know where the fuses are...in the glove compartment and the rear compartment from the NAV drive. While reading that little sticker on the fuse box it says that # 73 and 79 are for the Nav and Radio. What are those colored boxes just above the row of fuses. The fuses have different amp's written on them. Which of those is for the Nav?
Thanks! |
Is it just the backlight that has failed or is it that nothing appears on the display (you need to look at it with an external light source directed to it). If you dont see anything on the display its more likely to be a fuse problem, if you see the contents of the display, your NAV backlight is faulty and its unlikely to be a fuse problem.
Hope that helps! |
Thanks for the reply

Check your Nav Drive in the back, if the red power light doesn't come on, then you may have a problem with the Nav Drive.

I had this happen once. the nav screen was completely dead. no radio, screen, just dead.
I checked the fuses and it came back on. I guess reseating the fuse didn it. |
I checked that out
