Looking for pics of the interior with Titanium Trim

I've been thinking of having my body guy paint the interior trim Silver to match the exterior. But I'm worried that it might look to ricey. I have black interior. Any pics or opinions are welcomed, Thx Rob

I don't think the Titanium looks 'ricey' at all. Silver inside and out looks sharp! I have the original TItanium trim in both my X5 and 540i and love it. I got rid of the all too common wood to give it a sporty look. Here's some pics...

wow I love your interior

Just wanted to add..

I dont think it is a good idea to paint the interior. It is going to look like the 03 and 04 G35 interior which has painted silver trim.

What is the titanium trim made from? Actual Titanium? I always thought that it was just a color description?

The BMW kit is actually titanium I think. You can just get it painted to match the exterior paint. One of my old buddies did this; he got the idea from the VW New Beetles that have interior pieces matching the exterior paint. Looks good if you can get it done right and cheaper than buying the BMW kit...

My body guy would do it for almost nothing. He painted my Exterior trim for, can you believe this, $250!!! It looks amazing!!

Its not real titanium.
Its painted. Any decent bodyshop can do it.

I've always had BMW's with non-wood trim interiors, this is what my X5 with "Graphite Metallic" interior trim looks like:

Yes the 'Titanium' trim is really just plastic that's painted titanium in color! The wood trim although is real wood.

Before I got the titanium kit, I asked a body shop if they could just paint my wood trim. They told me it was tried before and the paint started to wear off after a while.??? Apparently the wood trim has several layers of clear coat to give it that glossy look - which would have to be sanded down really good before it can be primed & painted silver.

This was a high-end body shop that does nothing but Bimmers and Benzes. For the price I was quoted to paint the trim alone, it was just under $200 more for the real thing...so I just bought the Titanium kit instead.

I got mine at Crevier BMW for around $600 or so. Can't remember the exact price.

That Graphite trim looks good too!

I think the trim really depends on the interior color. Titanium looks good in a black interior; Graphite looks good in a grey interior, and wood looks good in a beige interior.

Thanks guys, both finishes look very nice. I think I will get the titanium for mine. It does look nice not as over done as I thought it would.

The shifter is on there very tight. You have to jerk it off! Seriously, the only way to get it off is to jerk it straight up. Do not try to twist it at all or you will damage it. Just don't hit yourself in the face! I had to stand over the center console with one leg on either side and pull it straight up. :)

I think I'm too weak...I should order bowflex and then reattempt...haha....do you left the shifter in Parking? I read somewhere that you should turn the car on...put the shifter in Neutral

Dude, the last thing you want is your X5 rolling down the hill with the shifter in your hand! Leave the engine off and shifter in park!
