Looks great! Can't believe you're running 25's in the back! I have 30's all the way around, and will definitely get 35's next.

Believe it or not............

I'm not really noticing much difference in ride quality except it now pulls a little when I get into a groove in the pavement.
Although I'm now avoiding potholes like landmines.

How are your brakes? Mine have gotten a lot worse since I put my 22's on.

I assumed it was going to be worse but its not. I think I might have better stopping distance.
When I lower it next week I'll weigh the new wheels and see if there is much difference.

From what I've heard the real Breytons are 30% lighter than replicas.

Those are very nice looking rims, but I can't imagine your ride quality isn't suffering significantly unless you're driving on very smooth pavement. Those sidewalls are a bit too short and although you might sacrifice a bit in handling, my recommendation would be taller rubber - less prone to damage and better ride. I have no idea what's available in that size though. Lowering will also look good, but that will also negatively affect your ride, but the trade-off is better handling. That's my input since you asked - just trying to help. Just be careful and do your homework when you're fooling around with your carefully engineered BMW X5's suspension.

Are you getting dustless pads to compliment them? That would be another good investment as those rims will be quite a challenge to clean.

Hope I didn't burst your bubble - the rims are really beautiful. Just trying to be helpful by advising you to do some research before you spend a lot of money on mods that may end up frustrating you down the road...

That's the point of this post. I know I need some bigger tires and I'am looking for some suggestions.
The roads here in Calgary are pretty good compared to other Canadian cities so I'am really happy with the ride quality. I'am terrified of potholes though. Thats my main need for thicker tires.

Perhaps you could touch base with a tire specialist such as TireRack for advice and to see what's available and you could sell your current rubber bands. I'm sure there are a few folks right here who could help you out as well... GL!

What's the ride like with those low profile tyres on? Are you having to avoid all the pot holes?
