AC conditioner help

i have a problem with my ac, i turn it on works for a few minutes then stops for a while, then again starts again to work and then again stops, I can hear the compresor going on and off. Does anybody know if thats is a time for a new compresor or its the final stage resistor?

Definitely final stage resistor. I had same problemand changed FSR and the problem was solved
