Im doing the Performance Center delivery in SC
 

Hey i decided to do the performance center delivery in South Carolina. Its all set up for my wife and I. BMW pays for everything except airfare to SC. They pay for all meals hotel for one night. Transfers from airport to hotel and from hotel to performance center. Also you get to take one of there X5s through an offroad and onroad obstacle course. I cant wait. It sounds like so much fun.

That's awesome Tony! When is she due for delivery? I brought it up a while ago but it would be pretty cool if a bunch of us could do the SC thing. Do they know you're going to show THEM how to do donuts? :thumbup:

No definate delivery date yet. But it should be in about 4 weeks. all of us down in SC would be great. I would be up for that. I didnt tell them about the donut presentation/show I am going to give them on the road course because i want it to be a surprise. Im sure they are going to love it. Shit they may even make it part of the performance center delivery experience.

Great decision! I'm sure you'll enjoy it, just make sure you opt to take delivery in the afternoon... save the best for last.

We did it 2 years ago & picked up our '04 M3 through BMW PDC. Best experience....got to do some kewl stuff with BMW's M3 on the track. I did some donuts as well. Ben Burrell did some 4-wheel drifts on a M3 as I rode shotgun!! I got some good video footage and I'll upload it one of these days.

Agree with above, the best part is at the end when you pick up your brand new car in the all-glass delivery room!! :)

The drive home was awesome as well!!:thumbup:

I cant wait. I think it is going to be an incredible experience. It sure beats picking it up at the dealer. I am actually making a little vaction out of it. Me and the wife are gonna fly to southbeach miami and stay at a condo i just bought this week on collins ave down there. It should be alot of fun. Its 1 block form ocean drive. We will stay there for a couple of days get to know the neighbors check out the condo and then fly to SC to the performance center. Stay there overnight pick up the new X5 and drive back home. I really just cant wait. Its gonna be great.

I think im gonna do euro delivery with my next M3 purchase next year when the M3 actually comes out.

Damn my salesman just called and said that I cant tour the SC factory because it is being retooled for the new X5. Im pissed i really wanted to do a factory tour. But i guess it will be next time. Everything else is set to go though. ITs aug 21st. Im going to miami first for a couple of days then flying to SC to pick up the X5. I havnt told the wife yet but im sure she will be excited.

sweeeet...sounds like you'll have a blast tony...be sure to take pics, or even video's...and make sure ur cop buddy stays behind (when doing those donuts) ...lol

Yea im leaving the cop in CT for sure. I still see him around but he leaves me the hell alone after what took place. Im gonna try to talk the wife into video taping alot of it but if not i will at least have pictures for you guys
