22" hre Question
I am going to get some 22" HRE wheels for my 4.8... What width do I get them for the front and back? Also is there anything else I need to do to the ride to make the 22s work right (spacers/h&r springs)??? Any help would be great. Thanks

u should get a staggered set up so the rear rim/tire is bigger then the front.
Get 22x11.5 in rear and 22x10.5 in the front thats what id get if i was gettin a new set of wheels I have DPE's with 22x10 all around and i needed to put rear spacers to even out the wheels with the fenders. An 11inch wide rim in the rear will be plenty to have a big lip and fill up the rear fender. |
the guy at the wheel shop here said I should get 22x9.5 in the front and 22x10 in the back... do you think this will be to small?
|
With 22's I personally would'nt go above 10.5 at the rear and the front. With an offset to the rear to balance the front. Or drop the front to a 9.5. There is plenty on the subject if you do a search with lots of feedback from other X's with 22's.
My 10.5's run with 285/35 Diamaris |
In know this is getting old but I just need to make sure I am doing the right thing. Would 22x9.5 with 18mm offset and 22x10 with a 12mm offset be ok or do I need to go bigger????

Before I give my own opinion. Which Style HRE are you talking about? |
it is between the 640R and the 647R

IMO Defo the 640r 3 piece, but the finish will depend on your colour X. The offset is up to you but IMO opinion stick to the same front and rear without offsets HRE design the wheels so you dont need them. Try them without first you can always put them on yourself after or just go for rear offset IMO. Remember to KDS as well after (Alignment That Is) makes a big difference. I am sure there will be plenty of comments on this. |
