X pipe mod. done. Pics inside

Today made the X pipe mod. Total cost was 95 euros, and for this price I canīt find a better mod
Sound is slightly different, with a deep growl at idle and while accelarating you can hear a ponouced bass sound, I just love it. When I got home, stayed inside the garage playing with accelarator  the sound is great, I donīt know why BMW does not make it like that from standart.

The X pipe was made by some exhaust pro guys, fit and finish look fine.Hereīs some before and after pics.

Looks well mate, notice the difference theres seems to be less of an 'X' formed. Was there any reason for this? And the overall design seems less fussy in terms of welding and install.

I know you have not had it long but have you noticed any 'pops' or misfires especially under acceleration from standing?

mine pops all the time when i let off the gas at a higher rpm. Love the sound!!!

Any difference in performance?

Glad you are happy with it! On to the next mod

Has you said I didnīt have enought time to check this up, but tomorrow Iīll have a longer ride and try to see other minor differences.
Regarding the less "X" form, I also notice as soon as i saw it, and I belive this might give me some raspeness at high revs, itīs almost like a misture of straight pipes with X pipe, but I hope this wont happend, donīt like the rasp sound at all. I might drop the Remus exhaust within weeks, this will give the final sound Iīm looking for, not to loud and intrusive and deep/bass enought to put a permanent smile on my face :)
Tomorrow will make a sound clip so that everybody can have an idea of X pipe sound.

noncom23, didnīt notice any difference yet, but this modification doesnīt give 0,00000001 HP ;) itīs merely an engine/exhaust sound upgrande.

Thanks.

mine sounds great, I definitely recommend either X-piping it or straight piping it. Mines straight piped.

J.Seven, have you made the sound clip after X-piping ? Would like to hear it.
