Tires for 19" sport wheels

Just wondering what tires most people are going with on their X5 with 19 inch wheels. My 1st set were Bridgestone Turanza's which worked fairly well with very even ware. My current set that need to be replaced are Michelin Diamaris which didn't wear as evenly. I'm thinkng of going with the Toyo proxies next. It seems a lot of people with Suvs are going with this tire because of the performance and extended tread life. Not sure how this tire will hold up becuase the X with staggered wheels can't be rotated. Anybody have any experience with the Toyo's on their X.

I personally recommend the Pirelli Asimmetrico's. They have been good for 25K miles on my sport 19" rims and they are M+S rated too.

I've decided to go with the Toyo's every review I've read and people I've talked to can only say good things about the Toyo's. Make the decision easy.

I've got 25K on my Diamaris ('01 X5) and they still look good, but then most of that is interstate hwy driving - I do plan to look at other tires when these wear down more, just to see what my options are - I have taken hwy S-curves with posted turn speeds of 55 & 60 at 85-100 (without leaving my lane) with no feeling of drift - 11 miles of curves and never touched the brakes - straightaways up to 120 - makes me wonder what they could do if I knew the road was free of traffic - tough for me to think of switching to another brand

I have Yokohama Advan ST. The dealer recommended those over Michelin Diamaris because those are cheaper and last longer. Yokohama is good tire, it's very quiet and a bit softer ride than Diamaris.

You're the first person here with Advan's. How do they perform compared to the Diamaris in terms of performance handling? What about wet handling? How many miles do you have on them? Are they showing any wear? Sorry to ask so many questions, but the input would help.

Hard to compare the performance or wet handling as Michelins were quite old when I bought my X. Wet performance is good for as wide tires as I have, 275 & 315. I have driven less than 1k miles so don't see any wear yet.

Agreed the Diamaris burn up VERY fast.
