Brembo Sucks - check this quality ....
 

OK, so after some research and inquiries about which rotors to go with, I decide to buy the Centric
Premium rotors but they were no where to be found and out of stock everywhere :mad: So I settled
for the Brembos from Brakewarehouse.com. I ordered 2 fronts and 2 rears. They sent me
2 Brembo fronts and 2 ATE rears :confused: . In the beginning, I was upset because I didn't get what
I ordered however, after a close inspection of both brands the ATE appear to be a better quality than the
Mexican made Brembos (no offense intended to anyone). I'm fine with the ATE now but I'm pissed because
the Brembos are made $hitty quality.
Not sure about this but the inside disk is thinner than the outside disk :confused: !! Is this by design? or are
they really that bad? Please take a look at the pics and respond with your comments. I need to figure out what
to do and need to finish this pending brake job. If they are flawed, then I have to ship them back for replacement.

can you do a side by side pic for comparison of the brembo and ATE ?

the brembos are fronts! the ATE's are rears and they are a different design (single solid disk vs, double disks)!

so how did you know ATEs have higher quality?

Brembo Discs are a low cost alternative to some of the more traditional German Suppliers like Balo and Zimmermann. ATE has some very impressive quality but they do not do any of the work themselves. Honestly you purchased budget Discs and expecting higher quality castings is not realistic. Brembo casting generally look exactly like your pictures, For better quality you will need to buy Balo or Zimmermann.

You can see it by the finish. Besides, the ATE's did not come with chicken scratch all over it (someone wrote something on the Brembo disc)

I purched Brembos based on the recommendations from some members on this forum with good experiences. I also didn't expect a brand name to show up like this. Besides, I wanted to get the Centric Premiums but they are not availableanywhere.

I did not get any responses from anyone yet regarding my Q?
To clarify: on the front rotors, the outside and inside discs (which are joined by the ribs in between) are different in thickness :confused: is this by design or is it a flaw? please look at the photos? anyone please?

just watch out for the fakes i got a set of fakes from ebay.. the set i got off ebay didnt have the Brembo stamps on them but came in the Brembo boxes but were worped in a month of braking?? my new set has the Brembo stamps ..
