I know this is an old post but it helped me figure out why there was no air blowing through my rear vent.

For someone who has only been an X5 owner for a couple of days, I'm so glad I found this forum. Thanks, I hope I can contribute as I learn more about the E53.

Beautiful color, love the V8 power...

Check your Oil Separetor (you can do a search on this forum) for oil leaks. Very easy to check if you haven't done so already.

How many miles on it?

42K miles... Yes, I waited a long time for a Lemans Blue to become available in the pre-owned market. Not many around.

Great !! This solution worked for me too !! The horizontal vent was closed from inside. I just inserted a screw driver inside and the all the dirt came to my face.... LOL !! But i was glad that it worked.
