Hazard and Central Locking Buttons Still Not Working
 

My hazard and central locking buttons have stopped working. Also the doors no longer lock when I start to drive. The remote and door key still locks the car. Any ideas?

This is very wierd. My hazard and locking buttons have just stopped working on me too. I cannot tell what is wrong. Also, I have noticed that when i lock my car from the outside, a few seconds later it will unlock. Is there a problem with the lock actuators, or is their some kind of other electrical problem?? Will these things be covered under my extended warranty?

It will be covered under warranty. Usually the car will unlock if there is something not closed correctly. Not sure though why the buttons for the hazzard and doors dont work? Try the fuses first!

Where do I find the fuses, and which one am I looking for? Thanks

The fuses boxes are located in the glove box and behind a drop down panel from above, there are some in boot on the right, behind the panel. Not sure which one but look at your drivers manual. Or with a good torch scan all of them and keep an eye out for blown ones!

I did not see anything. I will call the dealership tomorrow and set up an appointment. This is frustrating.

this is a very very common thing to happen, i'm suprised no one ever mentions it, maybe your cars are too new? ;p

i had it happen in an X5, and a 330ci, same stupid location that bmw designated for the switch, little spills, little puppies walking constantly across the console, wear and just age, pretty much will do that.

so here's fix, costs roughly $30 part, it's central locking/hazard switch, easiest thing to replace on your car just like changing a light bulb in your living room. once you have the part you'll realize how easy plug and play it is, just pop out the old one, disconnect wire, reconned new switch, place in, and you done.
