You can read here what happened with the DICE...

Feel free to email him on here because he has both my system and the DICE system in his car. I have a relationship with every BMW dealer in the country and sell my product to over 45% of the dealers in North America.

You might have misunderstood or are trying to take the thread to another directon but this thread has nothing to do with DICE - the questions were regarding video integration.

Also, the item you are referring to was an ice>Link Plus, not the DICE. ;)

Tom is correct, the problem was with the iceLink and not the DICE. I can certainly agree how sensitive the electronics are. I just hard-wired my Valentine 1 into the overhead console. After tapping into the switched 12V source on the UGDO, The PDC emitted a malfunction tone, the gear selector light did not light up and the Self Levelling Suspension indicated that it was inactive. A disconnect of the battery cleared all the problems.

Boys, boys!

Don't make me send you to your rooms with no supper!

Everything sounds the same!

Dicey / Ice-Rink...I don't know anymore. Too many similiar mods out there with respect to name's.

Too many similiar products out there. Thanks goodness I manufacture something that nobody else can duplicate. (God thank you for inventing Intellectual Property)

Often imitated, never replicated.

SO how exactly does the Video Integration system work? Does it trick your ECU into thinking the car is in park or neutral, that way the NAV system plays the video from the ipod?

Let me know...I am curious!

I always say play it safe though...

Warning:

It is illegal in all 50 states, and in most Canadian Providences, to have real time video (TV Broadcast, VHS, DVD, Video, etc.) in view of the driver. If you are going to use the VSM for anything other than interfacing a rearview camera system, the interlock wire must be properly connected to prevent the driver from viewing real time video while driving. Please drive safe and obey all laws while driving.

This is always why the headrest dvd is definitely the "smart and legal" way to do things!

The VSM is a video gateway that allows the use of your stock NAV screen as a video interface for a 100% look and feel. If you don't have factory NAV - the invison system may be what you're looking for, but we are big fans of keeping the stock appearance as much as possible.

The VSM has a safety wire that is grounded to emergency brake for safety reasons. We just hope that you follow safe driving for yourself and others on the road.

But my question is how does it allow the NAV screen to receive an AUX source. The NAV systems from the factory are required to only work when the vehicle is in Park or neutral. So is it tricking the vehicle into thinking that it is in one of these gears? After all you say it is grounded to the EMERGENCY Brake for safety reasons. If you engage the E-Brake does the input automatically switch to NAV Setting?

Just curious Tom?

OK... I can't hold back anymore. I am sick of ACEDEUCY pushing his crap on this board. If it were a simple post every once in a while, no problem. But this guy has to post multiple times in every post that comes up with a video slant to it -- and then attempts to start sh!t with anyone that has an alternative product or opinion. EAS is a board sponsor/advertiser and has offered a possible solution to a question. Now he is being harassed about it by another vendor??? Get lost Law....

Kelly,

I appreciate your concern, but honestly I am trying to learn about another product available within the BMW market. I would appreciate it even more that if you have an issue with me to contact me directly instead of bringing the entire board into it. And with respect to the board what have you brought to the table? Not even a premier membership. I have given nothing but honesty and respect to this board by trying to protect the customers better interests with respect to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Kelly I hope that if you have anything else left to say you contact me directly or shoot me a private email and state your business. Otherwise have yourself a great day.

And now you can get lost.
