"Check Coolant"message..each morning.
I have had my X5 for about 10 days. The past two mornings I have been getting a check coolant level warning each morning when I start the car.
I have checked the levels and they seem fine. I only get the warning in the morning and then I don't get the warning anytime I start the car the rest of the day. It has been cooler the past two monrings..if that is of any significance. any ideas.. thanks |
Here's a link, from this board, on coolant sensor failure:
http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...coolant+sensor And, I rec'd dragging your X back to Stlr, as I recall yours is "CPO"; no idea if they cover that item these days, under CPO. The ambient temp should have no effect...something is amiss with the sensor or some connected glitch. My 5 yr old X has never shown coolant low, though it does consume some coolant with regularity. thanks for the link...and info...
its a 2005 so a new sensor would be covered under the orginal warranty.... |
