lift gate rattle
 

I am about to pull my hair out. This lift gate rattle, which is well documented on this site, is absolutely the most annoying thing ever encountered. I have adjusted the rubber bumpers out several times and am now at the point where there is no thread left. I adjust it, goes away for awhile, then returns. Most recently I have used duct tape over the rubber pad that, when closed, is in contact with the rubber bumpers. My next course of action is to try the felt idea over the rubber stops and tape around the side latches. I am serious, if this does not work, the BIMMER will be sold, and never purchased again.

Seriously not happy with our favorite german engineers.
