Is this normal?
 

I recently bought Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico for my 2001 4.4 sport but it hasn't even been 7000 miles yet and both rear tires have absolutely no thread left on it. Is this normal for Pirelli tires? There horrible, maybe check with manufacturer warranty?

So now I need to get new tires and just thinking I should stick the Michelins. Kind of pricey but I was considering the Michelin Latitude Tour HP (all season).

Do you have a picture?? Was the wear on a specific area of the tire or the whole tire? What are the sizes?

Sorry, no pics but the wear is completely even around the tires. The size are285/45-19 for the rears.

I have not used that exact tire but I know my Michelin Diamaris burn out at that rate. If the tread wear is even, it may just be a very soft type of tire. Hopefully someone with the same tires can chime in.

WOW....7000 miles? That's fast even for super-soft street tires. And the fact that they are evenly worn instead of worn on the inside helf of the tread gives me pause (normal wear for the rears is on the inside half of the tread). And to cap it all off, I've heard of people getting 40-50 thousand miles out of OEM Michelin Diamaris. Something doesn't sound right, unless the Pirelli is super soft and you've rotated them to balance the wear...

Pirellis suck! Go yokohama man

I have 24K on my Diamaris' and the local tire shop put a tread gauge on them a month ago and thought they had another 1K left....but they are showing their age...I had Pirellis on a Volvo V70R and they blew chunks.

where the tires really loud?? they could be directionals put on backwards... or your alignment...

7000 is too short for those tires. I am rather surprise, something else must be going on. Are you going off road? Mostly city driving? Rough pavement?
