Can X5 install a SMG Steering Wheel of M5??

Do you know if it is possible to install the SMG Steering Wheel of M5 ?

You can, but it's a lot of work.

Isn't this the thread from some kid retrofitting old 325i with everything brand new M3? That thread had at several thousand posts over two years and still going from some bimmer website?
If someone could find it, please post it. It was truely amazing for hardcore modders.

If E60 M5 wheel can fit E46 then it will sure fit X5, as The e46 M3 wheel fits on X5 fine. But it does seem like lot of work.

Yep, well, it was a 323i, retrofitted with a supercharged M3 engine.

I hv just got fm my garbage tt it is very tricky to install the M5 steering wheel onto the X5 4.6 ............. maybe I'm wondering if I can install the steering wheel from 4.8 but with paddle shift .... hi, buddies, do you have the experiences to install a paddle shift with SMG mode, or a SSG mode

seems tt SSG has a good comments for driving it, agree ???

Can I hv the modes and programs inside gearbox after installation of the SMG paddle shift if I hv SMG paddle shift ?

only the SSG works on the 4.8is

So the SMG wheels don't??

If your asking me.....when i had mine done 2004 4.8is i had to use SSG wheel as the SMG does not work. or i should say didnt work at the time of mod.

as per Mr. Paddle Shift, SSG is workable in 4.6is too
