Non working front passenger window
 

Hi,

G/F has an 03 X-5 with 60K miles. Front passenger window makes a grinding noise when attempting to close (stuck halfway down) and doesn't want to work.

1. Is there a way to do it manually?

2. Is there a common problem with these?

3. What should I do to avoid the dealer with this or do we have to pay the piper?

you will need a new window regulator, common problem.

Can you tell me if it's an easy fix? I have tools and do some work on my cars.
