Rubber seal around windshield loose ?

just bought x5 - 2001, I washed my car this morning and noted the seal
around edges of winshield is open, another word doesn't have glue sealed around edges. is that how it is ? thanks in advance.

post a pic and then I might be able to compare it to my windshield and see if the seal is broken/loose or if it's normal.
