Do i need centric rings?

Hi,
I bought my first BMW two weeks before and i am happy!!! I have a question for you guys... I put on 9.5-275/40/20 and 10.5-315/35/20 wheels with Toyo Proxes tires and feel slight vibration on the steering wheel. Also i think that steering feel got little "rubberized" and more disconnected. Did somebody feel that?
I will try to rebalance my wheels again, but do i need rings or something in addition?
Thank you.

probably will be mostly fixed with a re-balance. However, remember you tires are grabbing a lot more of the road now and you will feel every uneven groove on the pavement, so some vibration is normal now. As for feeling disconnected, you added bigger wheels...you're going to lose some feel.

If you bought aftermarket (Non-OEM) hubs you may likely benefit from using hub-centric rings. As I found out the hard way, sometimes manufacturers do not correctly specify the interior diameter of the hub. In my case, the hubs were clearly marked as being 72.56 mm in diameter when in fact they were actually 74.1 mm. That slight difference was enough to throw my entire wheel off center. I had horrible vibrations starting at about 40mph despite having my wheels balanced half a dozen times by various local vendors. The only way to tell for sure is to use a caliper to measure the interior diameter of the hub and go from there. If you need rings, I recommend you get aluminum (not plastic). You can get them from www.1010tires.com. Good luck!

The other possibility is your feeling the effects of misalignment. It is recommended that you get your KDS done after increasing the wheel size.
