Hill accent transmission mode?
 

I have noticed that when I am climbing a steep hill in either 1st or 2nd gear the transmission will hold the gear longer after I have crested the hill. It's not annoying but noticeable. Is this a feature?

Yes...it's part of the auto tranny logic in order to prevent it from hunting gears. This type of technology had been out for a while now...heck, I had it in my 12-year old honda.
