Best Location for Single DVD Player

I am about to install a single disk DVD player into my X5.

I was wondering what you all thought would be the best location for this.

Currently I am thinking next to the NAV in rear, but that could proove to be a pain if i decided to switch disks! etc!

Come on then - Help me decided what are the options and where do you think is the best place.

To start things off - Options

1) Rear next to NAV
2) Glove Box (will it really fit in there, its DIN size)
3) Under a seat? (i think someone installed it in the first aid box)??
4) In a side pocket ( come on am running out of ideas) :)

Thanks

I'm just after fitting one of these.
I opted for the rear left compartment,
above the nav computer.
Suited me better for access to wiring,
ease of routing cables,
and proximity to video switcher(I located this beside spare wheel),
a unit which takes the output from the dvd player
and splits it for delivery to the 2 headrest screens,
also provides a stereo out to be fed to the newly installed aux in,
as well as feeding audio to the screens.
I had to cut a hole in the rear left cover as the dvd player is deeper than the space allows,
so it protrudes slightly, but isn't unsightly,
but for me it works well.
Will post pics soon.
On a recent long trip it really was a godsend.
2 small kids, 5 & 6,
when a Disney classic cartoons DVD was played,
the decibels in the rear dropped dramatically.
2 hrs of blissfull peace.
Depends on how you view.
If you change the DVD often, first aid kit under drivers seat.
Otherwise, in the rear.
Getting out and stretching the legs every 2 hrs
is not a bad thing anyway.

I you have the need to change DVD often, the best for you is a DVD changer, I think that it will fit perfect on to of the navigation computer.

Get an additional MKIV Bracket and mount it on the GPS rack in the cargo area for a clean, factory-like look:

There's no reason to have the DVD player up front. ;)

Yes be interested to see a pic of this mod for sure.. very interesting suggestion?

I also thought about having it installed behind the leather flap of the rear arm rest. (pull it down) But dont think it will be suitable for the disk tray at that angle! ha
