wont stay idling
 

I just replaced my fuel pump on my 2000 4.4. After the swap the engine started fine and ran for a full 5 minutes after which i shut it down to clear the existing engine codes. After that the problem developed. Now the engine starts fine every time then comes back to idle and promptly shuts off after about 2 seconds. Thinking I may be out of fuel because of the low level during the fuel pump swap I added about 4 gallons. The low fuel light stays on, the gauge is pegged on empty and the display reads 0 miles to empty. It still just starts instantly ,comes back to idle and shuts right down. Anyone experienced this before or have any ideas. I have tried battery disconnect for 1 hour with no results. Thank you for any help or input. Marc
