New Tail Lights
 

What are your views on these tailights, I think they might look good against a black X5 but would like some opinions? Anyone here possibly already have them installed?

I'd be interested to see them installed also. Where did you find these?

Seen them on our UK ebay site. Price was £199 and include all silver bulds.

Personally do not like the look. A bit too "boy racer".

I've always liked the look of the Lexus RX clear tails on Black.

Totally subjective thing.... I think they look far too "Fast & Furious" and on a black X5 would stand out and look like someone smashed out your OEM lights leaving only the silver reflectors. If anything, these would look best on an Alpine White or Ti Silver X5 for a more colour keyed look.

Again, it's a subjective thing but get them if you think they'd look good. I'm sure there are others who would be interested in seeing what they look like when fitted. After all, your sig tag line should guide you. ;)

:iagree: Besides, these clear lights look good on Lexus, on a BMW it will give it a identity crises.:rofl:

I think the overall idea the moment is that its cheap and nasty so maybe a better conversion is the 4.8is tailights?

Not for me. A few years ago I quite liked the look of such rear. The early partial OE clears as on the IS200 looked fine but by the time the the Mk2 Rx300 rolled off the line as I felt ones even OE units can look too much. Now these have been retro fitted onto all sorts of UK cares and sadly often thoise driven by undesirebales or what we in the Uk would call Chavmobiles. If it were my money I'd resist the tempation as may cheapen the image of the car. As with many cars when they become cheaper used then more people will do mods with the E53 being no exception. If mods are not not done tastefully the overall effect can displease. Please please please do not take this personally just my honest view re these
units but not you and not your car.

or the facelift ones if you can justify the expense for little difference. You mention 4.8is but AFAIK all facelift sport pack cars will have these. I'm sure i'll be told if I am wrong anyway another link below.
