Window Reg (because I can see the print out of one of the posts) and BT install?

Good eye on the instructions!! Actually that is what it started as was the regulator. Someone on here had posted about a possible fix with zip ties, so I removed the regulator to check out what my issue was. Could not find anything broken, so I ended up ordering a new one because it is getting slower and slower. Will install the new one this weekend. Next was speaker installation, however that did not get far because I was confused on why there were 4 wires going to the woofer. Got my answer on that, but ran out of time to install the new ones - will complete this weekend. Had just received my DICE unit, so that is why the back seat is out, the center console is disassembled, and the driver's seat is out. Had to rerun my connections for the satellite radio over to the DICE under the driver's seat so it is all hooked in together. HIGHLY recommend DICE!! While I was in the center console, I decided to finally switch the +/- in the manual mode to where it shifts like the newer ones - man if I had known it was going to be that easy, I would have done it months ago. Feels so much more natural pulling towards you to upshift - I have used the heck out of it since.

I must say after having done many installs on my vehicles, this vehicle is built like a tank compared to the others!!

I am still amazed by y'all on here. If I turned back and saw my dash open, seats out, and wires exploding everywhere I think I would cry. While I am pretty handy around the house, I could never ever imagine doing some of this stuff. So my hat is off to you. :)

Thanks!! My friends/ wife think I am crazy by some of the projects I have undertaken, but I must say I have learned a lot on how things work in vehicles from doing these projects myself. Plus, because I spend 2+ hours a day in this vehicle, I want it to be enjoyable and feel like "mine"!!

The downside is everytime my friends have something go wrong with anything electrical, whether it be stereo stuff or lighting, I am always the first person they call!! Oh well, what are friends for ;)

How do you do it???

I enjoy how all the instructions are written clearly and seem so easy. I can just see it when I try some "quick" job though:

Now I just easily pull out this one little screw...uh oh.....:explode:

Yeah that is a great mod and really only a few mins to do! Although my shift pattern is the new type on my 4.6is, I did do this conversion to a 1996 540i I used to have and it was much better pulling back to shift up. More natural as you say!!

Do a quick search. I remember there was a thread posted a little while ago about this.
