Even on the lowest setting it burns my ass.

Problem with my seat heater?

If you are really worried take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

Ya, happened to us as well. Seat got very very hot but did not burn a hole. Just take to the dealer and the will replace it. Since it is an un-common part they might have to order it.

Do they replace the seat or do they replace the seat heater inside the seat?

They replace the bottom cushen of the seat. They do not open it up.
