New Ipod adapter available. cheap too
 
control volume, song selection, and up to 5 play lists from the steering wheel or radio controls.
looks like no text, though. uses cd changer connection. looks like everything the oem one is except any year x5 can use it.

I don't see any reference to the X5.

I have the OEM iPod connector, and I am so glad I did it. I just wish it showed song names, which, apparently Apple and BMW are working on for the next release. This one looks almost identical to the OEM version.

not the same product. that's made by denison
the one i originally linked to is made by USA Spec. They make copies of OEM vehicle specific cd changers usually.
